Can you believe that? Floating strawberries?
Well! Actually, it’s quite true! I attended the Mother’s Day tea party for my youngest son, and for a yummy treat, the kids donned on their Food TV personas and hand-crafted strawberry shortcakes.
Now, as a devout Atkins kinda mom myself, I shunned the cake and reached for my cup of paradise (ie, coffee). I was about to sip and enjoy when all of a sudden….
An opportunity arose! I’m used to enjoying various no-calorie sweeteners in my coffee…and other only thing I could spy with my little eye was (gasp!) real sugar! The horror! The agony! But instead of panicking and completely melting down being mildly unhappy, I chose to [Read more]

Morning!
Joy! Is realizing you’re on the last legs of finalizing your new blog look and feel!
And agony is! Realizing - your fingers slipped in your contact information and your contact form email reads:

And TRUE PAIN is! [Read more]

Morning!
It’s now been, hmmmm, 4 months since I’ve started problogging, and the amount of knowledge and tips I’ve gained is amazing. Truly the blogosphere is a superb resource for teaching yourself just about anything regarding the art of communicating with people about whom you care.
I’ve also discovered that blogging can really help boost your income as well!
One of my trademarks is always walking the walk I talk and consistently putting into practice everything I teach. That’s why I maintain several blogs besides this one, including: [Read more]

If you’ve been following my adventures online for any length of time, you’re probably aware of my April Fools’ site, TwitterBudgie.
But did you know those 15 parakeets really DO live in my office…and really do have unique and fascinating personalities you’d never imagine a tiny birdie could possess?
Take Avenahar, for example. Avenahar’s story is very sad yet very inspiring as well. I got him from a pet shop (I was given him, actually) last year and immediately noticed something really really really REALLY weird:

You know, I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason.
You might not know today, or you might not know next month, or you might not know 4 years from now…but everything really does happen for [Read more]

QUICK! I want you to imagine you give yourself permission to relax!
No no no, now stop that laughing! Stop it I say! It’s true, you know - you really don’t have to spend a bazillion hours blogging at your site or building your products or commenting on blogs or debating on forums or designing on Photoshop or …..
Get what I mean?
Yes indeed, you, yes YOU can actually give yourself permission to relax. I promise you, the world won’t fall in pieces!
Are you still chortling? You mean you’re done and back to sitting calmly?
Good!
Seriously though, as a work at home mom and entrepreneur, giving myself permission to relax is one of the most difficult things I endure. Yes, endure… because I always have this mental idea that I could be doing more.
Are you the same?
If so, [Read more]

Morning!
Yesterday I wrote the magnificently insightful post: How Stupid Are You? Basically I discussed how important it is to know when you’re giving more than you’re receiving…and what to do when such non-optimal situations occur.
I neglected one very important step, however.
Here it is:

Luke…..pass on what you have learned……
QUICK!
For what do you want to be remembered before you exhale your last breath?
(and no, it’s probably not, gee, if only I had spent more time on Twitter! :) )
For me, it’s that I’ve made the world a better place for my family and friends.
For as long as I can remember, that’s what [Read more]

There comes a time in everyone’s life where Enough is Enough. But tell me now - do you possess the intelligence to recognize when you’ve reached this point? Even more so, are you smart enough to proactively take action?
Well?
Think about your goals for your blogging - whom you help out, what you want to achieve, for whom you are working (ie, do you work to bring in success for your family? Friends? Parents? etc.etc.etc.). For all of your effort, I want to ask you:

You’ve probably read tons of "how to build self-confidence" articles in blogs and dozens of "you can do it!" self-affirmations and scores of "make it happen today!" posts to last you a lifetime.
And generally, I adore these kinds of posts myself; positive attitudes and self-confidence can go light-years towards making one successful online.
Which, of course, is why I have to rock the apple cart, tip the bathtub, spread the peanut butter on the down side of the toast, fill up the car with water, shine up the trumpet with sandpaper, mix the coffee with carrot juice….in other words, present ideas from the other side of garden! With that, let me now ask you: [Read more]
