How to make writing in your blog much easier

Benefits of this lesson: You can visually see how your blog will look before posting it.

If you’ve been online now for more than 3 minutes, you’ve probably come across forums and communities that let you post messages very easily. You can change the color of the text, you can insert pictures easily, you can add lots of smilies, etc. ie, something like:

Now, wordpress by itself doesn’t give this nifty editor to you. However, you can easily get it for yourself with nary a problem! Here’s how.

DO THIS FIRST)

Become familiar with uploading plugins to your site. Lorelle has a great tutorial on this.

Step 1.) Visit Dean’s FCKEditor for WordPress plugin and download the plugin to your local computer.

Step 2.) Unzip the plugin. You’ll see new folder named something similar to "fckeditor-for-wordpress-plugin".

Step 3.) Drag/drop that plugin to your remote Wordpress plugins directory.

Step 4.) Go to your Wordpress dashboard, and click on the Plugins tab.

Step 5.) Scroll down until you see

Click to Activate It.

Step 6.) Start to write a new post. You’ll now be presented with a whole suite of tools that make it easy to write your blog like so:
