Make money with a Coffee blog - Profitable Niche Blogging

QUICK!!!!! Do you worship coffee?

Now, true, that’s kinda like saying, do you worship breathing, or do you worship health, or do you worship being able to complete 4 chinups before failure, or….

Okay okay, you get what I mean. :) Personally, "worship" is too light a word for my take on that Beverage of the Gods…and apparently, I’m not alone. The coffee industry is bigger than Godzilla’s desire to consume Tokyo! Just look at all the Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts coffee and independent barristas and …. get what I mean?

I figured so.

Now, consider the following. You’ve got coffee makers on which people love getting deals, Starbucks coffee beans on which people love saving money, coffee research sites, coffee forums, coffee lust…..put that all together and you have one huge heaping money-making possibility.

How? Why,

Thanks to eBay…and Amazon…and affiliate programs from coffee sellers and …..

Here’s how!

Step 1.) Set up a Coffee-related domain name and put a blog on it.

Be bold! Be daring! Be different! Want some yummy coffee domains? Here’s some I’ve found - look how creative they are.

Coffee Geek
Coffee Nerds
I Need Coffee
Coffee Zap
MommyNeedsCoffee (Okay, it’s not specifically for coffee, but what a great name!)

Once you have the domain name, you’ll need to host it.

Got that done! Splendid! But wait! A domain is simply the place on which you’ll put your great coffee-related goodies such as your blog and and and and and oh yes! Coffee products to sell! Smoothly dive into:

Step 2.) Obtain an eBay and Amazon and Commission Junction affiliate ID.

This is extremely important because these three programs will deliver the majority of your commissions.

You wouldn’t believe some of the coffee-related products people can buy online. We’re talking coffee cups (and those can be broken down into sports coffee cups, cartoon coffee cups, animal coffee cups, ….and THOSE can be broken down into football coffee cups and marching band coffee cups and karate coffee cups…. and THOSE can be broken down into ), coffee makers, coffee beans, gourmet coffee, coffee gift baskets, coffee and chocolate, coffee spoons, coffee flavorings, sugar-free coffee flavorings, coffee ice cream, coffee….

Step 3.) Get your Coffee Blog Up and Running

There are four critical things that you have to do regarding your blog:

Set up categories
- I’d recommend to start off simple, like:
  - Coffee News
  - Coffee Reviews
  - Coffee Humor
Download/install anti-spam plugins (learn more here)
Incorporate affiliate programs to blog template. Both eBay and Amazon give you tips on how to do this. On my blogs, I put the affiliate programs in my sidebar and also within the single page postings as well. Search on Commission Junction for Coffee affiliates too. You can add their banner links to your sidebars.
Install the CommentLuv plugin. When people post on your blog, this will pull up their latest post…thus encouraging them to participate.

So! You now have the blog set up and waiting for you - it’s time to find coffee information about which to write. Jump now to:

Step 4.) Search Out Coffee Feeds.

Visit to Google Alerts and set up a comprehensive alert for

coffee

This will verify you’ll be alerted whenever news or blog postings or forum postings etc. about coffee show up.

Your next step is to visit Google and search for

You should come across great coffee sites like:

Add the feeds you’d like to your Feedreader.

Once that is completed, search for

coffee blog

This will deliver to your blogs that center on coffee, such as:

Continue adding feeds until you have about 2 dozen of them; that’s enough to provide you with a continuous stream of inspiration.

And once you have your ideas in hand….

Step 5.) Blog!

Now you can start blogging about that most marvelous of beverages, coffee, to your own personal coffee blog. You can start with coffee news (Starbucks is always in the news), write up about independent coffee house resources like Delocator.net, discuss various merits of coffee makers over at Amazon.com, etc. You can even include links to coffe-related video clips like these!

But wait! There’s one more thing you should do:

Step 6.) Visit other coffee blogs and comment.

If you make useful comments at other coffee-related blogs, a direct link to your own personal coffee site will be generated. And that will help your site get indexed that much quicker to boot.

Remember - money won’t flow in immediately. That’s a fact.…but post great coffee-related content, and your readership will increase as the weeks go by. And because you have all the great coffee savings and discounts smack-dab on your site, your affiliate income should go up as well.
