Believe me now?  And guess what!  If you’re addicted to fast food and have an insane desire to make money on the Internet with your blog as well, you can smooshilate the two together and start earning affiliate commissions.  Here’s how!

Step 1.)  Set up a domain name and put a blog on it.

Yes indeed, you can consider fastfood.blogspot.com, but why be so, well, non-James Bond-like?  Consider these domain names:

Want cost-conscious domain resources?  Check out:

Once you have obtained your domain name, you have to discover some fast food-related products to market.  Move onto:

Step 2.)  Get an Amazon and eBay affiliate ID.

This is critical, because these two programs will deliver the majority of your commissions.

Sign up HERE for Amazon.com and HERE for eBay.

Like I said, there are huuuuuuge amounts of fast food toys and goodies you can find on eBay and Amazon, including limited releases, vintage fast food toys, fast food books etc..  Here’s what some of the Amazon.com stuff looks like:

Tomart’s Price Guide to Character & Promotional Glasses Including Pepsi, Coke, Fast-Food, Peanut Butter and Jelly Glasses; Plus Dairy Glasses & Milk

Customer Reviews — Rating: 4 Date: 2001-07-15 Summary: Helpful but some revisions resulted in even less information I confess that I am a little disappointed in the revised 3rd edition of this book which I purchased after seeing an earlier edition in the reference section of our local library. I am a collector of Big Top peanut butter song glasses, and this book seems to be one of the few that has information about these glasses. When I looked up the Big Top glasses in this latest edition, there was actually less text and fewer photographs of these glasses than there had been in the earlier edition!! For this reason, I have a hard …more

Hamburger Heaven: The Illustrated History of the Hamburger

Customer Reviews — Rating: 4 Date: 2005-11-17 Summary: Cool pictures, nice history Hamburger Heaven is a blast to the past, when there were Drive-Ins instead of drive-throughs. Starting with the history of the hamburgers as it related to the Tartars and brings it into the 70’s, 80’s and then 90’s. It reports on the glory days of the Hamburger, when McDonald’s was in it’s infancy and there were far more unique chains than we can dream of today. The history of the hamburger is much richer than most could imagine, and Tennyson does a wonderful job of exploring the past. Presented not only with facts, …more

Next,

Step 3.)  Set up your Fast Food Blog

There are three must-do things you really should follow:

  • Incorporate anti-spam plugins (learn more here)
  • Set up categories
    • I’d recommend to start off simple, like:
      • Fast Food News
      • Fast Food Toys
  • Incorporate affiliate programs to blog template.  Both Amazon and eBay give you tips on how to do this.  Often I will simply add them both to my individual postings and the sidebars.

Next, you need some content about which to write.  Move to:

Step 4.)  Ferret out Fast Food Feeds.

Go to Google Alerts and set up a comprehensive alert for

  • "fast food" (notice the quotes)

This will ensure you’ll be kept up to date regarding fast food news, fast food blog postings, etc.

Then go to Google and search for

You’ll uncover feeds from sites like:

Add the feeds you’d like to your Feedreader.

Next, search for

This will deliver to your blogs that focus on robotics, such as:

Continue adding feeds until you have about 20 of them; that’s enough to provide you with a continuous stream of inspiration.

Step 5.)  Post!

Now you can begin writing at your fast food blog.  Start off with some daily news, maybe blog about the dangers of Playplaces, add in some research, etc..  You can even add video clips from Youtube like these fast food ones here.

With patience and persistence, you should see your affiliate income grow as your blog becomes known by fast food toy collectors.

Nice, eh?

Hope the above is helpful!

ThankYouVeryMuch,

Owlbert
