Have you heard of Google?
Okay, true, that’s like saying, have you ever experienced real life breathing, or put on a shoe, or checked your email, or…. you get what I’m saying.
How do you search on Google? Let’s say that you want to write a metablogging article about ‘blogging tips’. Do you simply search for, say,
and go your merry way looking for content?
If so, have I got some useful news for you - Google allows you to fine-tune your searches and zero in on the quality data with the greatest of ease! And here’s how.
Step 1.) Find authority sites in your niche.
If you want to cite resources, you have to first find authority sites that contain valuable information. In blogging, one would think of, say,
Let’s say that you want to write about blogging tips. Turn next to:
Step 2.) Visit Google and use…..
Instead of searching the entire Internet, you can limit your searches to pages that fall within that domain via the "site" tag like so:
Some of the excellent articles returned are:
- Blogging Tips for Beginners
- 113 Must Read Blogging Tips
- How to Blog Successfully - 70 Reader Blogging Tips
But an opportunity now arises! Those articles are a few years old (still relevant, mind you…but what if you want more current works of art?)! You can add today’s year and last month to your query like so:

Nice, eh?
You can use this technique to zero in on other authority sites as well - copyblogger.com, dailyblogtips.com, etc. And don’t forget about industry niche blogs as well! Simply uncover authority sites, decide about what you’d like to write, and then research excellent resources to include in your articles.
I promise you, it will make your blogging much much MUCH easier to do.
ThankYouVeryMuch!
