RANT - What Twitter REALLY is missing Part 1, need a solution

You know, I’ve been educating myself quite a lot about Twitter lately, and I can really see the benefits to it.

But the more I analyze it, the more I realize…it’s missing some key critical features. And for my Friday Musings, I’ve decided to start listing them, one by one.

Let’s start with:

No way to communicate in MORE than 140 characters.

Sure, I know, the basis for Twitter IS 140 characters or less, but c’mon! If someone tweets me about copywriting ideas or how to SEO or how to teach teenagers that "Your" is a term of ownership and NOT "you are", how on earth am I supposed to compress my answers into 140 characters or less?

"Dear Avid Reader" -

I got your Tweet.

See (tinyurl here) for answer

Please excuse excess character bandwidth.

Then I’m supposed to craft a page online myself to answer the inquiry?

Why not have a direct link to the person’s email and simplify my life?

Luckily, as I’m also a developer, I do have some inklings on how to get around this restriction…I’ll be sure to post updates as they occur. What do YOU think?
