Money is good.  Happiness is better.  Both of them together…well, that can really make life rock (especially if you add coffee!  :)  ).

Thus, let me now as you:

What inspires you to make things happen and excel past all possible predictions? 

It can be many things.  Consider the:

• Desire to better your financial position.
• Love for your family.
• Love for your true friends.
• Passion for a cause.
• Desire to teach by example money-making skills to your family

Many, many many MANY reasons can spur a person to want to achieve something…something beyond mere ego satisfaction.

I personally feel quite strongly about this.  The concept for one of my most successful earliest products, eBay Search Profits, arose from a website I had built for a dear friend…one who didn’t know much about the Internet, but did possess a burning desire to succeed.

Another one of my products (this one targeted to job seekers) came into being simply because one of my best friends had been laid off.  At that time, I was the acknowledged leader in teaching recruiters how to penetrate the hidden Internet.  Flipping that equation around (use the Internet to uncover hidden jobs) seemed logical to me, so I took off some time to research the field and fine-tune the proactive job hunting process.  The result?  My friend learned how to leap ahead of other job seekers, and I was able to turn that deliverable into a product as well.

Still another of my deliverables (it’s not really a product, as I didn’t sell it) was the mass creation of special interest niche targeted sites.   After I broke the Google code and wrote some scripts, I found I was able to work perhaps an hour a day and bring in my rather substantial income.  That freed up time I could then dedicated towards my family… and moved me to explore even further the ways people make money online.

Why have I shared the above with you? 

Simply because I believe that when you are inspired to help another, be it your friends, your family, your passionate causes….anything, really, that is aside and apart from you, you have done an honestly wonderful deed for the greater good.

So often, entrepreneurs and bloggers get sidetracked into making money, building connections, forming networks… and lose site of just why we work.  It’s not just for the material goods…it’s not simply for the recognition and ego stroking we receive when we hit the jackpot big.  

It’s also for doing good deeds for those whom we love.

I’m big on love and karma, you know.   I really do believe that everything that goes around, comes around…and at night when I’m cuddling with my husband in bed, it’s great to be able to think,  I stayed true to my goals and personal ethics during the business efforts of the day.

Thus, when you’re laying out your business plans and your goals for your future blogging, ask yourself….just why AM I putting myself through all of this?  What am I REALLY getting out of it?

The answers might surprise you indeed.
